What is Practice Opportunities in Pennsylvania?
Practice Opportunities in Pennsylvania, more commonly known as POP, is Pennsylvania’s only state specific website that connects physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners with healthcare employers and communities.
POP was developed as a nonprofit service in 2001 in partnership with The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. POP is managed by the Michigan Health Council.
How does POP work with Healthcare Employers?
POP is not a recruitment/retention firm. POP provides healthcare employers (health systems, individual hospitals, group practices, etc…) the opportunity to become a POP member and gain the ability to post unlimited opportunities and search the database of candidates that have expressed an interest in Pennsylvania. How does POP work with Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners?
POP provides physician, physician assistant and nurse practitioner candidates the FREE ability to register on the site, submit their CV and search opportunities with POP members. Candidates can make their information viewable to POP members or be on the site confidentially. POP does not sell or disclose candidates’ entrusted information. How is POP funded?
POP is supported by the membership fees paid by the healthcare employers utilizing the site. There is never a charge to the candidate.
